At Champions of the Future in Portimão, Kartcom has continued to innovate in its competition analysis. Two major new features have been added to enhance the results and refine the evaluation of the performance of drivers and their equipment over the course of a race weekend.
“TOP CONSISTENCY” a new performance indicator
At Kartcom's initiative, with the support of a number of professionals in the field - and with the invaluable advice of Jérémy Iglesias, Team Principal of the CRG factory Racing Team - a new ranking has been created: the 'average time', calculated from each driver's fastest times and updated in real time as the Heats and Super Heats progress.
This indicator highlights a driver's consistency over the weekend, taking into account all their fastest laps. It offers a new perspective: for example, a driver who is fast and consistent, but who suffers an incident in Qualifying, can better show their true level of performance. This ranking, dubbed "TOP CONSISTENCY", becomes an additional tool for in-depth analysis of the forces at play.
"EQUIPMENT - TOP 3": enhanced statistics at every stage of the competition
Since its creation in 2007, Kartcom has offered statistics on the equipment used and kept a complete archive of results. Today, this data is available at every key stage of the competition:
• Qualifying sessions
• Heats,
• Super Heats,
• Prefinals,
• Finals.
(depending on the format of the event)
"Equipment - TOP 3" is now systematically displayed at the bottom of each page, in the
"RESULTS" section for each category in competition.
This information makes it possible to follow trends more closely, identify the best-performing chassis and engines, and the brands that are best represented at each stage of the race. It provides invaluable information both for the teams in the paddock and for those following the events remotely.
